"you don't need to panic because Apple has added a Find My iPhone feature that can be used to find iPhones with iOS 8 and above. "
In today's digital era, the sight of people looking at their cellphone screens anywhere and anytime is no longer a stranger. As if the cell phone can not be separated from our hands.
However, we still sometimes forget to put the iPhone down and even leave it carelessly, and often the iPhone has changed hands when we remember it.
If that's the case, you don't need to panic because Apple has added a Find My iPhone feature that can be used to find iPhones with iOS 8 and above. Not only iPhones, this one application can also be used to search for other Apple devices such as Mac, iPad, iPod touch, AirPods and Apple Watch.
The Quick and Easy Way to Track a Lost iPhone
Before you can use this application, you must activate it first.
Click the Settings menu, then click Apple ID and select the iCloud menu.
If you don't have an ID yet, you can create an ID first. In the iCloud menu, look for the Find My iPhone application then activate Find My iPhone and Send Last Location until the button turns green.
To find a lost iPhone, the first thing to do is open the icloud.com site via a smartphone or computer browser then sign in with your Apple ID.
After that select the device to see the location of your iPhone. If your iPhone is online, it will be shown with a green dot and a gray dot if it is offline.
The map will show the last location of your iPhone if the phone is turned off or the battery is low.
There are several options you can use if your iPhone is online. The first is that you can select 'Play Sound' if the cellphone is not far from your current position. With this option, the iPhone will make a sound to make it easier for you to find it.
If your iPhone is lost somewhere and is likely to be found by someone else or stolen by someone, you can select 'Lost Mode'. With this option the iPhone will be locked remotely, tracked and the screen will display a special message containing your contact number.
If you are worried that your iPhone will not be returned or that important information on the cellphone will fall into the hands of irresponsible parties, you can select 'Erase iPhone'. With this, all information on the iPhone such as debit, credit or Apple Pay prepaid cards will be erased.
You also can no longer track and search for it with the Find My iPhone application.
